The Great Divorce

There are two Americas right now, Urban and Rural.

More importantly, I am afraid there are two visions of America. One is that of a wealthy urban nation whose cities are under siege by hordes of deplorable savages. The other is that of a productive nation being looted by a parasitical army of occupation that controls its great cities.

The second of these two nations won the 2016 Presidential Elections. Whether these two nations get reunified into one United States of America or not is up for grabs. I myself think it can and should be done, but I respect that there are others who have a different opinion. I must note that it appears that our Progressives seem the least interested in reconciliation. I will let others speculate why.

For a while I was making the joke “Given the choice between Clinton and Trump for President, can Texas secede from the Union?” About the end of August I amended this to end “while there is still a Union to secede from?”

Perhaps it’s time and past time to make that comment the smart ass joke it was intended to be instead of astute political commentary.

Why Do “Progressives” Oppose Self-Defense?

People who resist predatory animals will resist predatory humans. People who resist criminal predators will resist political predators, i.e., tyrants. Progressives think they need tyrannical power to make society just. Actually, they are just claiming to bring justice to excuse tyranny.

They wish to destroy our will to resist, not simply disarm us.
