Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise
Remember: libretarians are just people who want to be left alone.
Consider: many people find that outrageous and offensive.
Figure out: what is wrong with these people!
Let me again thank those who use their hard-earned cash to
help support this here little magazine. And remember, you can help
support us just by going to Amazon.com from here and when you buy
something from them, we get a little commission from that (most of
the time). And should you see something in the little affiliate
program links/advertisements down at the bottom of each article, a
click-and-buy also gets us a small commission. It helps.
(Of course, the Amazon.com affiliate commission comes to about $20/month or less most of the time. Still, it helps!)
(Of course, the other affiliate programs bring in pretty close to nothing. What the heck, eh?)
Our Publisher, L. Neil Smith, and his wife Cathy came through our town last week. There is a photograph, but I do not have a copy, alas. On the other hand, who wants to look at a picture of two old men, eh? I missed his birthday party, held about a hundred miles of so from here, because my wife was ill and I was not feeling so good myself. That is one thing you can look forward to when you get old: not feeling good. It is always an effort to decide “Am I sick?, or just old?.”
“A spectre is haunting Europe—the spectre of Individualism. All the Powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: Pope and Czar, Metternich and Guizot, French Radicals and German police-spies….” Okay, that is enough of that. Yer can parody Marx not much because it is already a parody of itself. But, apparently in France the spectre is not quite strong enough. The collectivists have been defeated (somewhat) in America (somewhat I said!), and in Great Britian (somewhat), but France… always behind while claiming to be The Western Culture Leader.
Was that worth reading?
