A Word From The Publisher
by L. Neil Smith
And that word is “pneumonia”. That’s why I’ve
been out of circulation for just about three weeks. I went down to
Denver recently with my lovely and talented wife Cathy to watch the
Colorado Rockies play at beautiful Coors Field on three consecutive
days. It was like a trip to Disneyland. I returned to Fort Collins
deeply fatigued and with one of the sorest throats I’ve ever
experienced. A trip to UrgentCare produced the diagnosis. I’ve had
pneumonia a couple times before in my life, but I have now reached an
age at which I need to take it seriously. I spent the next several
days flat on my back in bed, unable to do anything more productive
than cough horribly and moan.

We’re fed up, and we’re not going to take this much longer
by Vin Suprynowicz
Axios — one of dozens of interchangeable,
far-Left, statist Internet “news” sites — on Aug.
20 asked several White House aids, (anonymously, of course), why they
stay in the service of Donald Trump: We talked to a half dozen senior
administration officials, who range from dismayed but certain to
stay, to disgusted and likely soon to leave. They all work closely
with Trump and his senior team so, of course, wouldn’t talk on the record.

The Norseman’s Diaries: Summer’s End
by Feff Fullerton
With sadness I must report there will be no
summer edition. After a series of snarls and snafus it ended up on
the back burner and never got written. And then the season peetered
out sometime in August with no more 90 degree days and even 80 degree
ones have been a bit hard to come by and we’ll be lucky to see any
more of those in the coming weeks. Especially with the first day of
September feeling more like October as what is left of tropical storm
Harvey approaches.
