In this issue of L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise I have written a column called “The AR-15: Threat or Menace?” It is intended as a warning to those who try to interfere with our Second Amendment rights. It also includes a couple of ways for people on our side to combat anti-gun hysteria. But it can't do any good unless it gets around. If you agree with it, I want you to send it to at least ten people, friend or foe, who wouldn't ordinarily get it.

When Donald Trump was elected, I didn't think I'd have to do this sort of thing any more. Now I'm hearing that he supports age limits on rifle purchases. (The idiotic limits were on short-barrelled handguns a generation ago.) Thirteen-year-old boys fought in the American Revolution and the War Between The States. Sixteen-year-olds lied about their age to get into World War I and World War II. They fought those conflicts with rifles. Placing arbitrary age limits on the purchase of long guns is both deeply insulting to their memory and completely irrational, unless it makes sense to punish every kid who didn't shoot up a school recently.

President Trump is getting very bad advice from the cowards, fools, and losers of the National Rifle Association. He must be taught that there are tens of millions of much smarter, more principled gun owners in America for whom Pepe La Pierre and the half-witted, lily-livered NRA does not speak.

Several US companies have been jawboned by left-wing scum into severing ties (member discounts, etc.) with the National Rifle Association over the recent school shootings in Florida, for which various feeble-minded students, other mouth-breathers and young skulls full of mush, and celebrities blame the NRA, presumably because it supports the individual right to own and carry weapons, which the communoid left wants to destroy.

I have been a Life Member of the NRA since the 1970s (I am also a Life Member of JPFO). I frequently disagree with the NRA and criticize them in print because I believe they are weak, and that their weakness endangers our rights. But, when evil, stupid, and crazy leftists attack the NRA, they are attacking my family, and I will push back as hard as I can.

Here is a list of the idiot corporations that have cut their connections with the NRA. You probably do business with some of them. I know that I and my family have. Don't do it any more. And should you have occasion to speak with them, tell them why. As of Feb. 24, 2018, those companies are:
