Manifesto, by L. Neil Smith now downloadable as an audiobook!
L. Neil Smith’s THE LIBERTARIAN ENTERPRISE
Number 966, March 25, 2018

Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

I read a lot. I even re-read some. I was re-reading (for the … 4th time? 5th time?) Will Durant's The Story of Civilization, and in volume 1 I came across this gem:

Do not let a day slip by without enjoyment …. Do not allow yourself to be tormented by the stupidity of others …. Remember that from its earliest beginnings the world has never been free from fools …. Let us not then distress ourselves ….
—Kaibara Ekken, Japanese Philosopher 1630-1714

Yes, let us not distress ourselves. Or try not to, anyway.

And as an aid to un-distressing, contemplate:

Doesn't that make you just want to throw off your clothes and ride a horse? There is just something soothing and happy-making about paintings of the Pre-Raphaelites. And here is his Clytemnestra … looks like hubby is about to get the ax:

And here we have Queen Guinever's Maying:

And one of my favorites, The Lady of Shalott by John William Waterhouse:

Well, that is enough for now. Happy Trails!
