A long time ago it hit me that 3 weeks of the month women need men to be assistant women and one week they needed men to be "bad boys," in terms of successfully reproducing and raising kids. In the old days of more blatant aggression between groups (tribes, clans, nations) where men needed to forcibly protect their women and children this was not that big a dichotomy. Also men had to hunt big and medium game, chase away predators, and do heavy muscle work. With modern technology obviating the need for male muscle, a dearth of wolf packs, leopards, lions, etc., the need for male strength declined. Traditional male feistiness became less necessary from a woman's point of view.
How to maintain traditional male virtues when the need for the behaviors they derive from appears to be declining (I suspect this decline is illusory) is a problem. However, I suspect that those who hate maleness will discover that destroying these virtues is a really stupid idea.
I do not claim to be a paragon of male virtue. However, a woman can do worse than getting herself a man who is ugly, strong, and reliable ("Feo, fuerte, y firme") even if it means putting up with a little machismo during the three weeks.

My Lazy Glock Pistol
Today, I placed my Glock pistol on the table right next to my front door. I left its clip beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.
While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor’s son across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the “stop” sign near the front of my house.
After about an hour, I checked on the gun and it was quietly sitting there, right where I had left it. It had not moved itself outside. It had not killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do that. In fact, it had not even loaded itself.
Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the hype by the Left and the media, about how dangerous guns are and “How They” kill people. Either the media is wrong, or I’m in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
The United States is 3rd in murders throughout the world. But if you take out just 5 “left-wing” cities: Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, St Louis and New Orleans—the United States is 4th from the bottom, in the ENTIRE world, for murders.
These 5 cities are controlled by Democrats. They also have the toughest gun control laws in the USA. It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data, right?
Well, I’m off to check on my spoons. I hear they’re making people fat.

Point of interest: How will all these young revolutionaries react when they wake up one morning and realize that they succeeded in disarming themselves while the hired killers of the ruling elite are still armed?
We are having a revolution in this country, that’s how Trump got elected, that's why the #Me Too movement, even why the young misled marching for “sane gun regulation”. Whether it will succeed, even what its goals ultimately are remains up in the air. I know that those who love liberty will soon find ourselves in front. Whether it is because we are leading the fight or running from a lynch mob I do not know.

Condoms. Specifically, unlubricated condoms. During the War in Vietnam they had many uses other than the obvious. As Vietnam vets and those they taught these tricks to grow old and pass it it becomes necessary to get it in writing and out to the younger generation.
Tampions to keep water out of the barrels of M-16's. Apparently bad things happen if water gets into a .224 diameter barrel. And yes, that is a correct use of the word and it is a real word.
Store cigarettes and matches out of the rain. From what I've been told, Vietnam was wet. An ex Army nurse did a demonstration on the use of condoms to store food and other items you need to keep dry in a speech class I was attending back when.
Condoms are easy to score and easy to store. They can be used to stash things you need to keep dry. And while you might have to explain having empty baggies on your person, all anyone will think if you have a condom or five in your pocket or purse is that you are an optimist with common sense.
