Letter from A.X. Perez

Peace Out

I am not impressed by people calling themselves The Resistance. The Ku Klux Klan was The Resistance to Republican rule in the South. They did this by murder and terrorism.

The Nazis organized the Werewolf Resistance after the fall of their reign in Germany. Depending on who you check with the Werewolves were only a propaganda ploy, collapsed in 1947, or fought on into the 1960's in East Germany.

The point is The Resistance aren't always the good guys. In fact, I've noticed that some resistance groups loved to attack innocents and intimidate them into supporting The Resistance.

So I intend to go about my honest business, I will endeavor to not interfere with you doing likewise. If by accident I do interfere with you I will try to make things right. I hope you will do the same for me.

I will not start fights over this. I will do my best to walk away from fights. Even if I have to walk away from an unconscious opponent.

Of course it's hard. It's supposed to be hard: Dog watch!

Re: @Pamela Anderson: Animals Are Property by L. Neil Smith (last issue).

I’ve always loved that essay ever since I first read it circa early 2000s! These people and the ecofascist ascetics (advocates of self punishment for the sake of the planet- at least for others than themselves) have long been the bane of the reptile hobby second only to government bureaucrats and professional zoologists who think only they are qualified to handle animals.

"Animals Are Property" was a breath of fresh air coming at a time when the hobbyist organizations were being taken over and dominated by those who embraced the deep ecology and anti-commercial / anti-husbandry world view and anyone who dared disagree was admonished and corrected.

Consider:

Pamela Anderson slips into a see-through dress to take her pooch for a walk …

Dogs on a leash? Doesn't that make her a hypocrite since that is a form of animal exploitation—using them as pets and keeping them in restraints?

Pamela Anderson Shows That All Animals Have the Same Parts

She must be trying to promote cannibalism the way she shows off all those juicy choice cuts!
