It’s important, in this context, to
remember that leftists always accuse
their enemies of what they are, themselves

Re: >Judicial Discretion and the Managerial State by Sean Gabb

Back in 2000 then candidate for President George W. Bush was called to task because Texas did not have hate crime law. The example was brought up of the murder of Black man by dragging him to death behind a pick up truck. Bush pointed out that two of the killers were sentenced to death (they have since been executed and good riddance to bad cess) and the third sentence to life without parole. Mr. Bush asked how their sentences could have been made harsher by a hate crime enhancement of the charges against them.

In this modern age the appearance of racism (actually bigotry) has become the great unforgivable sin, just as sex was during the Victorian Era and violence was during the Hippie Era. Thus a fuss is made that LBJ used the N word in private conversation and his role in pushing through the various civil rights laws as a Senate Democratic leader, vice president, and President is minimized or even ignored. Johnson was evil in so many ways, but his support of civil rights is unquestionable.

I'm concerned that on both sides of the Atlantic we are ruled by politicians who object to calling people by pejorative ethnic names applied to members of persecuted groups, they just want to treat us all as if we belonged to those groups. Put another way, there is a group who perceive themselves as the masters of society and view the rest of us as equally their slaves regardless of race, color, or creed.

I agree! No mention must be made of the Nazi invasion of Poland or France. No mention of the Japanese in the attack on Pearl Harbor. No mention of who committed the Holocaust or the Holodomor. No mention of the Allies in the bombing of Dresden, Hiroshima, or Nagasaki.

No mention of Osama bin Laden in the 9/11/2001 attacks!

Don't give these criminals the publicity they crave!

Ban news! Wipe out history!

No names, ever again!

Why Civility In Politics Won't Be Getting Better

"The reason for the increased tension is simple. As more is at stake, the battle over who makes decisions grows more contentious. Government has grown by leaps and bounds, and the decisions that are being made have far-reaching consequences for our checkbooks and personal freedoms. A century ago, federal government spending was only about 2 to 3 percent of GDP. If the government was still that small, people likely wouldn’t care as passionately about election outcomes".
Why Civility In Politics Won't Be Getting Better by John R. Lott, Jr.

Finally someone has come out and said what we've known and thought for years; we have too much government which is the reason the stakes are so high and there are so many sore losers out there willing to disown friends and family and even resort to violence when it comes to politics.

Letter from L. Neil Smith

Suck This, Chuckie!

IDEA: petty, obstructionist Democrats in the Senate are acting like infants in the matter of confirming Brett Kavanaugh's appointment by President Trump to the Supreme Court. They are no better than their most hysterical snowflake constituents. I urge you to buy a pacifier (or binky) and send it to your "favorite" Democrat Senator. If pencil-neck Charles Ellis Schumer (he wants you to call him "Chuck") gets 30,000 pacifiers in the mail, he might just possibly take the hint. Pass it on: #Resistance_Is_Over
