Another Sneak Peek
by L. Neil Smith
Here is a little glimpse at a future chapter of my new
novel Rosalie’s World, the fourth installment of the “Ngu Family
Saga” which so far is comprised of Pallas, Ceres, and the forthcoming
Ares. I don’t even know yet where it belongs. Wainsie Axmert is one
of the villains of the piece and may bear a purely coincidental resemblance
to a certain U.S. Representative from southern Los Angeles who has been
called ”the most corrupt politician in Congress”.

We SEE You
by Sarah A. Hoyt
There is a rolling and dreadful (in the original sense
of “inspires dread” poetry to the words about the final judgement “when the
secrets of every heart shall be laid bare.” To someone who loves her privacy
and who is also very sure she’s not the same twerp she was at say 12 or 14
(but a completely different kind of twerp) and who frankly has forgotten
most of her misbegotten growing up years, it would be embarrassing to have
the thoughts and deeds of that little twerp not only laid bare but pinned
squarely on me. On the other hand, to someone who loves truth and who in
recent years has become very aware of how many of the things that are
SUPPOSED to be the truth—news, scientific studies, etc—are in fact packaged
narrative manipulated by a small set of people for the purpose of giving
themselves power (and quite indifferent to the fact their plans would make
it hell on Earth for most people) there is a part of me who hungers and
thirsts for that truth to be revealed, for us to see, finally and bare for
all how many people and organizations who plume themselves on how just,
righteous and CARING they are have been screwing… well…. everyone for
decades, intentionally, lying intentionally, trying to destroy what is still
the last best place on Earth, intentionally.

Screenplay “Enemies Within” by Clint Burnette
by Jim Davidson
The screenplay “Enemies Within” by Clint Burnette
opens in late October 1966 aboard the USS Liberty as a school of
dolphins accompanies the ship on its journey. Two crewmen consider the
wonders of the universe and share their views on God's creation. Electronics
intelligence gathering in the late 1960s was performed by vessels such as
USS Liberty with a variety of gear and highly trained specialists. As
the story unfolds, the ship is assigned to various places where it can
gather information through its arrays of antennae and forward that intel up
the chain of command. As the screenplay unfolds, the vessel itself, the
USS Liberty, is a character of the dramatic events described in the film
script.

Review: L. Neil Smith’s Blade of p’Na
by Tom Jackson
I’ll start my review with a confession. Even though I
honor L. Neil Smith for creating the Prometheus Award, and I devote a great
deal of time and energy trying to help the award continue, I don’t always
love his work. I enjoyed The Forge of the Elders (the 2011 Prometheus
Award-winner for Best Novel) but I didn’t care for Pallas or Ceres
very much. Smith the angry libertarian polemicist does little for me,
either in the Ngu Family Saga or on Facebook.
