trying to change the course of human history.

Who wants to live in a free community? Quite a few people, actually. And, recently, I came across a very nice valley in Colorado that seems like a good place to begin.
It has water. A river runs through it. It has lots of land. They grow crops there. There are large numbers of apricot trees.
The coal-fired power plant was recently closed, and the uranium mines have been closed for a while. So there is labour nearby that is looking for work.
The valley has one highway running through it. Bluffs at either end of the valley put some hairpin turns on that highway.
The part of the valley that has very little water has a few acres of solar panels. More could be set up.
There are a great many working farms and working ranches in that valley. A couple of small towns are there.
At an outdoor music festival and birthday party for one of the locals, there was a small stage with three pirate flags. Good music, too.
