Contrabanned

Dear Ken,

PayPal won't let you buy guns, so I just used my card to purchase fifty bucks' worth of Black Rifle Coffee.

Heh.

Letter from A.X. Perez

flupocalypse

The next book on my reading list is Voices of the Fall, a collection of short stories set in John Ringo's Black Tide Rising series. Ringo's series is about a zombie apocalypse and how his characters deal with it (I am deliberately avoiding spoilers). Judging by how we are handling the Covid 19 situation, we would not simply be fucked, we'd be fucking well fucked in the world Ringo created.

People have demonstrated an inability to either cooperate with reasonable government action or to effectively resist unreasonable government action. Private enterprise has failed to adapt to the situation (Remington offering to make masks instead of just doing so and daring New York to stop them, for example). Government officials so easily gave in to the urge to engage in acts of pettiness (not even petty tyranny, just plain pettiness), look, if you're going to be a bitch be a big bitch. People acted like spoiled kids as the economy reopened.

One thing about anarchism is that it is about self responsibility and adulthood, qualities so many failed to show.

Positive side, people voted with their wallets for gun ownership. Hopefully they will insist that the Congress they elect I November takes the same stand.

When the range I use reopens I expect to be shooting .40 Liberty for two or three sessions in a row as that is my EDC gun and I want to make sure of my recoil control. Many new gun owners might want to learn and practice safe and efficient gun handling. And most of us might want to practice acting like free adults instead of overprivileged children.
