Political Remarks
“If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate…”—Dianne Feinstein
“Even if I want to take them away, I don’t have the votes in Congress,”—Barack Obama
These are the words of two Democratic Party leaders on why they didn’t achieve gun bans. The only thing that stood between them and banning guns was that they lacked the votes in Congress to do so. It is a matter of life and death to gun owners (from my cold dead hands isn’t just a slogan, and some gun banners consider it an offer, not an expression of defiance.) that a pro-gun Congress get elected this year.
Vote Republican for Congress in 2020, It’s cheaper than having a shooting civil war in 2021. We may end up doing the latter anyhow, but we’ll have clear consciences that we tried.
