Okay, I admit it, I sleep with the TV on at night. Over many years I’ve binge-watched every episode of Midsomer Murders that way, Inspector Lewis, NCIS New Orleans, and Longmire. The original NCIS I’ve watched though four or five times. “Gibbs’ Rule 42: Never accept an apology from somebody who just sucker-punched you.”
Lately I’ve been watching the original CSI for the first time in several years. For all the murder and mayhem, the world seemed like a better, cleaner, slightly less politically-correct place back then, but there were signs that worse things were coming. One of them was in the initial episode of the seventh season—the one in which Catherine gets roofied—where some whiny little guy in a nightclub is playing and singing some whiny little song called “Waitin’ For The World To Change”. That whiny little guy, it turns out, is a big star named John Mayer (I never heard of him) and his whiny little song was a big hit in 2006.
But it got me thinking. Fourteen years later, John Mayer (I looked him up) is now forty-three years old, probably the median age of the criminal thugs who just tried to steal the 2020 election from the American people for that Preposterosaurus Joe Biden and his criminal accomplice Komintern Kamala. I have no idea what Mayer’s personal politics are, but I can guess. He’s trying to speak for his historically, politically, and economically clueless generation. What he’s doing is screaming (in his whiny little way) that he’s desperate to get upstairs, and then turns and clatters straight down the stairs into the basement.
Wanna know the historic, political, and economic truth? Long before the advent of Donald Trump, private capitalism and American exceptionalism had fed, clothed, and sheltered more people than any other civilization in history, certainly more than any socialist country or communist dictatorship could ever have conceived or promised. In a feat of extraordinary and unprecedented generosity, it rebuilt an utterly destroyed Europe after World War II. Is that the world we’re all supposed to be waitin’ to change, John? If so, then to what?
Along comes the Donald, and he makes it possible for even more people—blacks, Latinos, women—to share in that civilization. He begins to end the cycle of American involvement in endless, pointless, mindless wars. He brings more peace to the Middle East than it has seen in a century. Thousands of sex-slave trafficked women and children are now free and safe. And for this, all of those who profit obscenely from exclusion and war and exploitation, all of Jeffrey and Ghislane’s best buddies, call him the “bad orange man”.
The Democrats’ clumsy attempt to steal the 2020 election from the people it actually belongs to has shown us exactly how thin the veneer of civilization really is. Rioting, looting, arson, rape, and bloodshed in once tranquil streets. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, that strident Stalinist strumpet wants to create an enemies list of Trump supporters for future persecution. Put my name on your list, bint, as big as John Hancock’s: L. Neil Smith, novelist and essayist. Jake Tapper, that socialist scum-sucking slug, wants a blacklist of those who won’t sit down, shut up, and obey. I know how to put him out of work no matter how the election turns out. Neil Cavuto, Vichy Republican, take note.
Those of you who really do want a better world, stop sawing at that limb you’re sitting on and get on the other side of the saw-cut while you still have a chance, before gravity gets the better of you.
Those on the side of right, hold the line. Hang in there. These are historic times and our descendants will want to know where we stood in this mortal conflict with collectivist evil. We gain a little every day. Another state was just flipped for Trump as I write this. He will remain President. There will be work to do afterward.
Where We Go 1, We Go All.
