Rosalie's Universe
by L. Neil Smith
I am only a few days away from wrapping up my
latest literary undertaking, Rosalie’s World. It’s the fourth
installment of the six-volume “Ngu Family Saga”, a massive chronicle
of humanity’s progress from asteroid colonization into interstellar space.

Insanity
by Sarah A. Hoyt
Insanity is a dramatic deviation from reality.
Whether it’s a relatively minor one like believing your cat is trying
to say human words (guilty) or an elaborate and more difficult one,
like the proverbial belief that you are Corsica’s gift to the martial
arts (is that ever a thing, or was it just something comic artists
seized on?); whether it’s relatively harmless (no one cares if I
scream at the cat “Speak clearly.” At least if I’m not in public) or
very dangerous, like believing your at is whispering that you should
kill the neighbors and put their pieces in a garbage bag (oh, please,
Havey is too stupid to have a concept of neighbors.) insanity is a
deviation from reality. (I almost typed consensus reality, and that
way lies one of the dangers, which I’ll mention later.)

Sam and Neil and Agorism
by Jim Davidson
Way back in the late 1990s and the first few years
of this century, I corresponded by email with Sam Konkin. He was
courteous and direct. That's also roughly the time when I began
to correspond with J. Neil Schulman. Both authors have passed
away, but their works live on.

Rush Limbaugh: A Tribute
by Sean Gangol
Recently, my mom and I were listing to the radio
when we heard the sad news delivered by Kathryn Limbaugh, the wife of
Rush Limbaugh. She announced that he had finally succumbed to the
complications caused by Lung Cancer. I wasn’t sure what to write in
this tribute, since most of what I had to write about Limbaugh was
already written in my article “Rush Limbaugh: Talk Radio Pioneer.”
So, I am going to make this short and sweet. It wasn’t until
recent years that I regularly listened to his broadcasts. I originally
rejected Rush Limbaugh because I wanted to remain in my own
libertarian echo chamber and hear only my viewpoints. Once I started
listening to his broadcasts, I realized that I actually had more in
common with this man than I originally thought. It was at a time when
my views on conservatives started to soften, since they seem to
provide the only counterbalance that we have to the left. Rush
Limbaugh helped provide this very balance to the virtual monopoly that
the left had over the mainstream media when he pioneered conservative
talk radio.
