Ken, Cathy:
I saw a tweet from Jim Davidson that L. Neil has passed. This saddens me greatly. I only met him once a few years back at his home in Ft. Collins along with his wife and daughter. We had a beer together which I will always remember. He was one of my favorite authors and I have many of his books. I plan to get more.

L. Neil Smith (1946-2021)
I must, with the deepest regret, pass on news of the death, two days ago, of L. Neil Smith. Though we never met in person, Neil was a good friend and a very noble libertarian. He will be missed, but not forgotten. My deepest sympathies to Cathy Smith, his wife, and his daughter, Rylla, who were both with him at the end. But let us not weep for his passing: rather, let us rejoice that he lived.
