Haven’t there always been half-hearted, cowardly
Nerf libertarians, afraid to stand up in public
for what decency and honesty demand?

City At Night Complete Version Part 1 of 2 Heinlein Intervie
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZJry_xDkrU
Neil would have loved this.
Two journalists touring the set of “Destination Moon”. Heinlein who wrote the script for this classic George Pal film appears in part two of this set of videos.

Was that worth reading?
Then why not:
Bre-ens
After much consideration I have concluded that any president of the US should have an IQ as high as Norma Jean Mortensen (163). They should at least be able to live up to one of her best lines, "I can be smart when I have to be." Neither of these define Joe Biden, at least in his performance as president.
He shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline and shut down oil and gas production on public lands, contributing to the price of gasoline going up a dollar a gallon. While he did so to achieve popular environmental goals, he also did so during a recession caused by the shutdown of the economy to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
While getting out of Afghanistan is a good idea, he bungled the execution, abandoning Americans and American allies in the process. He has exacerbated this by picking a fight with France.
He has allowed the situation on the Border with Mexico to turn into a cluster fuck and still kept many of Trump’s policies he condemned.
Unlike a showgirl played by Marylin Monroe, being smart when he has to be does not appear to be one of Joe Biden’s talents.

Two Really Good Things
Number one: Ernest Hancock’s interview of El Neil’s wife Cathy & daughter Rylla which made for a wonderfully upbeat story to liven up my drive to work last Sunday morning. Especially encouraging is Rylla’s journey of enlightenment away from the leftist influences of her younger days. Much like my own or that of Heinlein who started out as a supporter of Upton Sinclair ; the Bernie Sanders of that time. Maybe there is hope for her friends–I may be stretching my hopes–maybe even people like AOC as well.
Number two: Sarah Hoyt’s quote–“They don’t believe in creation, which is part of their devotion to redistribution”. That is the zero sum mentality of the Left in a nutshell. It’s obvious every time they declare the High Frontier “inappropriate technology” and I always got a similar treatment whenever I tried arguing captive breeding to conserve endangered species. I wonder how they would have reacted had the conversation gotten as far as recommending using O’Neill cylinders for wildlife refuges? That was actually articulated by O’Neill and other writers of space colonization literature.
I like to create.
This is my small scale version.
I always dreamed of doing something on a much grander scale in space.
