WHEN: July 2, 2022 from 4 p.m. until dusk (if you show up early, we'll put you to work)
WHERE: Spring Creek Park, Fort Collins, Colorado
Please join us for a celebration of the life of L. Neil Smith, Science Fiction Author, and Friend of Liberty. We will be providing picnic food (hot dogs, burgers, cold cuts) and beverages (water, soda, lemonade, iced tea). No alcoholic beverages are allowed inthe park, but there are multiple brewpubs to choose from.
Bring blankets, chairs, and acoustic instruments. if you choose. There will be a small pavilion, and lots and lots of grass. There are nice walking/bike trails in Fort Collins, and Spring Creek Trail runs right through the park.
There will be an opportunity for remarks, but mostly this is an opportunity for conversation and planning for the future.
We hope to see you there, and we apologize for the short notice. If you can’t make it this time there will be other opportunities.

Dear reader,
We have in recent days received a request from a longtime friend of the Libertarian Enterprise for help. Our friend is currently being held in a small jail in a western state which shall remain unnamed for purposes of preserving anonymity, and claims to have been denied access to certain personal belongings (harmless items, including a book) which constitutes a violation of First Amendment rights. The only permitted method of communication is by way of a monitored service.
Our friend maintains innocence with respect to the charges, and whilst the Libertarian Enterprise will not comment on the particulars of the situation, we do believe that everyone is owed a fair trial and the ability to retain a lawyer, with whom one is able to communicate in confidentiality. To that end, we have set up a GiveSendGo page, and our friend, and we, would be extremely grateful for any help our readers would be able to kindly provide.

Due process, freedom of speech, innocent until proven guilty, the trial by jury, etc., etc.
