As of today, 14 August, 2022, Juarez and other Mexican Border cities and towns have been burning since Thursday the 12th. In Juarez it began when members of one drug cartel entered the local CERESO Prison to kill members of another. This led to attacks by various gangs on restaurants, convenience stores, and gas stations with guns and Molotov cocktails, leading to a total of 11 dead as of this writing in Juarez. From Matamoros to Tijuana the drug cartels have spent this weekend the cartels and the gangs they control have been able to wreak havoc without fear of civilian resistance.
Mexican citizens enjoy the kind of gun control the Democratic Party want to impose on the US. The Lamestream Media types who support and promote that goal might want to note that four of the murder victims in Ciudad Juarez were journalists at dinner. This leaves the Mexican people unarmed and unable to resist government power, or the power of quasi-governments like the Cartels.
I am concerned that the supporters of gun control in the US want this for our nation. More importantly, I'm concerned that the supporters of gun control view this as an acceptable consequence of achieving their goals.

Meanwhile, Brazil's firearm ownership booms, and gun laws loosen, under President Bolsonaro — tip of the hat to Roger Clark.

I’ve been studying a lot of Ayn Rand lately. While referencing related search terms on altruism which she vehemently deplores as the root of evil I come across this interesting term- Pathological Altruism and an interesting article on the same. With an interesting quote similar to an epiphany I had once.
“Altruism can be the back door to hell”.
That’s because it paves the road to hell with good intentions.
Altruism has such universal appeal because it’s deeply embedded in our evolutionary psychology, our culture, religion and politics. That’s why the democrats keep getting elected over and over again once the people have had time to forget about the Disasterville effect of their policies. It’s pendulum. After Biden is gone they will founder for a decade or two and then come an economic downturn they’ll be given a blank check again and they’ll do their thing like a dog is compelled to roll in the ichor of a rotting carcass or its own vomit.
