Well, we're back. We had planned a gala to welcome ourselves "once again into the breach", but events sort of forced our hands. This issue, abbreviated and hurried into circulation as it is, will be dedicated entirely to the sad and curious occurrences in Littleton, CO on April 20.
I wish we'd been able to kick off this, the latest chapter in the saga of the Enterprise's voyage, on a little lighter theme, but such is the way it is. No matter how many victories we may achieve, the Forces of Evil are always at the ready, waiting to hammer us yet again. But we will rise and persevere from this and all our other troubles. Why? Because ultimately, we're invariably proven right.
So in a few days, when Bilious Clinton has had a chance to bite his lip, quote the apostle Paul, and maybe shed a crocodile tear or two, he'll come at Lady Liberty again, with that ravager's glint in his eye, slavering rapaciously and clutching at her robes with claw-like hands.
And he'll bring with him his pet basset hound Carolyn McCarthy, or his attack lounge lizard Upchuck Schemer. And they'll bleat and bray all over again about guns, chanting the same old tired mantra that they've been chanting since they discovered that the "gun movement", as personified by the NRA, had no clothes, camos or otherwise.
When he rails about the "epidemic" of school shootings, remind yourself that he told you a few weeks ago that he had singlehandedly reduced crime through the force of his enormous ... will.
When he blames the gun instead of the person who pulled the trigger, remind yourself that his victims are "stalkers", that "is" doesn't mean "is", and that even one of his hand-picked cronies in the judiciary holds him in contempt for lying.
And take heart, my friends, for we are indeed back. We will continue to strive to provide you, our faithful readers, with a viewpoint not found in the lapdog press, which could be distracted from Clinton's "Butchery in the Balkans" only by his latest "Gun-Free School Zone Zapping".
And if we must place the blame for Littleton anywhere other than where it directly belongs -- on the heads of the perpetrators -- let's direct a little of it to the feral government, whose domestic warfare policies made these murders easier to commit and more likely to occur. -- Your Editor [email protected]

"But more rules is what we're likely to get, as the creepy-crawlies push to head-off just the kinds of incidents that are least-susceptible to control unpredictable berserker suicide attacks with a new round of gun control laws, censorship, school searches, and God only knows what other kind of intrusions in an attempt to prevent the unpreventable. Students who, despite Littleton-style incidents, are safer than they have been in years, will be victimized by the latest victory of the control freaks.
And the creepy crawlies will ooze back to their holes to savor this latest win, and eagerly anticipate the next tragedy."
