At the risk of preaching to the choir, ...well, I am no preacher and I can't stand choir music anyway, so here goes: I just finished reading Hope by Aaron Zelman and L. Neil Smith. I had a very hard time putting it down. Must remember to wash my sticky hands before I read. Back to the topic: This is truly an inspiring book. The title character, Alexander Hope, seems to be a combination of Michael Badnarik (our most recent, honorable presidential candidate) and L. Neil Smith. He gets elected in the most likely way for a person of his integrity to find himself in the White House. (Read the book) Once in office, he does the unthinkable: he keeps his promise to enforce the Bill of Rights! I kept finding myself almost cheering aloud when Mr. Hope would take another "radical" step toward restoring freedom to America. His unswerving commitment to the Bill of Rights and the whole of The Constitution is something totally lacking among those who seek to rule us in America today (and for the past 200+ years). Just to imagine living in the kind of world that would result from such a course of action is enough to make my heart race. If I could afford it, I would send a copy (unwelcome, I am sure) to every congresscritter, jackboot—oops, law enforcement perpetrator—oops again—OFFICER, and judge in this country. Would that be considered an act of "terror"? To the vermin infesting/holding those offices; I am certain it would. We peasants mustn't go around trying to show traitors the error of their ways, you know. Being a believer in ZAP, I couldn't force those vermin to read it, but I know in my heart that if they did (and didn't spontaneously combust), this land would be much better off. I highly recommend getting a copy for yourself, and a spare to loan out. Read the book. You will be very glad you did. Kent McManigal
