Re: "Impeach Now, Or Face the End of Constitutional Democracy", by Paul Craig Roberts

I have only one minor problem with impeaching Bush and Cheney. They have indeed violated the intent of the law and Constitution while prosecuting the War on Terrorism, which many feel is a phony war. Even if they are not convicted this would serve notice to future presidents and vice presidents not to play fast and loose with the law.

The problem is that Nancy Pelosi would then become President. The same Nancy Pelosi who never saw a tax raise, gun control law, or restriction on free speech she didn't like. She's member of the "The Constitution means what we want it to mean"Club. At least W and Cheney waited on a pretext to break the rules.

Consider the saying about frying pans and fires.
