Regarding Turnabout and Fair Play Apparently The Washington DC City Council insists on dragging its feet and resisting complying with Heller. Since the enemies of liberty want to play rough: A. Perhaps someone should read the Federal statutes regarding contempt of court into the minutes of the Council's next meeting and debate whether or not their actions meet that definition. B. Consider whether their actions meet the definition of "insurrection and rebellion" for purposes of losing eligibility to hold office (and collect pensions!) under the Fourteenth Amendment. Yes I know many Readers of TLE are not real fond of the 14th. Fine, but it's a law tyrants forced other wannabe tyrants to pass. The term "Hoist them by their own petard," comes to mind. Those of us who want to restrain the power of government are expected to demonstrate our willingness to abide by just laws. Now it's time for us to demand that those who wish to strengthen the government and their own powers under it do the same. A.X. Perez
