The new designation of the United States of America began the moment the decision was made to have the US Government buy stock in failing banks in exchange for lending them money to stay in business. Willy nilly this will lead to the formation of a government owned corporation to manage these stocks, Congress may even bother to try to keep this company politically neutral.

Jim Davidson was upset about me writing tolerantly of the Federal Reserve System. I can't wait to see how he reacts to the Federal Holding Corporation (or whatever name the next Congress hangs on it.). Thassa ok (to quote Chico Marx), most of the readers of TLE will be joining us in conniption fits when the Third Bank of the United States is organized out of this holding company, without getting rid of the Fed, I might add.

Money isn't money until it is used to buy goods and services. Trading stocks, CD's, bonds, and other financial instruments is just a game until someone trades them in for food, medicine, clothing, baubles for our true loves or whatever. This includes the factories and shops to manufacture these items (or process them for human consumption) and stores to sell them. This means borrowing money from the banks which means getting it from 3BUS, who may or may not insist on owning stock in the companies making, shipping, and selling goods or providing services.

The Fed will survive because once the Big G creates an institution it takes a life of its own. We will be given a cock and bull story of why when they feed us this line "it's needed to counterbalance the 3BUS." Our so called leaders may even be suffering from the illness of believing their own BS when they say this.

Welcome to the USSA. Tell Rex and others it may be time to create the free states of Independent Texas and the Anarchic State of Aztlan to take in refugees.
