Letter from Andrew G Eggleston Sr. Dear Neil: Due to a baby being born in my family, I'm a little late in updating the authors whose books are finalists for August's Book of the Month. You and Mr. Bieser's collaborative effort, The Probability Broach: The Graphic Novel are finalist #4. If your book is selected as Book of the Month, then it will be further considered for our annual literary award, to be presented at the New Hampshire Liberty Forum in March 2010. The author(s) of the winning book [verb?] a handsome framed ceramic tile, and a donation will be made in their honor to the Liberty Scholarship Fund. Good luck in the voting. I hope this brings attention to your work. This is the first graphic novel to be up for consideration. I will update Freedom Book Club's Fan Page http://tr.im/oEra with this information as soon as possible. freedombookclub.com
Dear Editor, Re: "Letter from Paul Bonneau" Paul Bonneau makes an interesting point about property, but completely neglects to examine my main grievance. Ken Royce stole my membership fee and doesn't provide membership. I've asked Royce for my money to be returned, but apparently he's too busy, or too greedy. I wonder how many others have had their funds purloined by this thief. Ken Royce seems to enjoy telling racist jokes. I went to a bunch of his events, never saw a single black face. I think he's a racist, the racist formerly known as Boston T. Party. Regards, Jim Davidson
Over the years I've picked up a few minor insights, bits of wisdom worth sharing. One that I'm very careful to pass on is "don't marry anyone you can't trust with guns or money." Assuming the gender were appropriate, would you marry your state legislator, congresscritter or senator (state or federal) or other elected officials? Vote accordingly. Depending on how involved/active you are politically, the following may be useful. Then again maybe not. Congressional elections will be held next year, the infamous off year elections. All 435 Members of the House of Representatives and one third of the Senate are up for (re)election in November of 2010. However, primary elections for these seats will begin in January. In some districts whoever wins the Democrat or Republican primary will all but automatically win the general election. People not running as candidates of an established party need to start petitions to get their names on the ballot, making sure they have money for filing fees, etc.. Now is the time for the politically active to start trying to get Libertarian and libertarian friendly candidates on the ballot. For those of you who feel participation in the system is a waste, now is the time to get your shoulders ready for people who play the game to cry on when they see you were and are right. Now is the time to start seeing which candidates you would trust with guns and money. Otherwise the crooks will hold control of the nomination process. A.X. Perez

"Psst. Here's your numbers tickets!" But I don't want numbers tickets." "You don't get it, da boss says everybodys gotta buy tickets or else.!" "That's no fair, most of the time my tickets aren't eligible to play and most of the rest of the time I lose anyhow." "Yeah, dat's why da boss says you gotta play. Someone's got to eat da layoff for da people dat win consistent and big." Insurance is a bet. Basically you are betting that something bad is going to happen and the payoff on the bet will defray the expenses. So basically it's a bet you want to lose. If the Cosa Nostra forced people to buy numbers tickets at gun point we would all cry foul. So why is the Res Nostra (government) blithely planning to force people to buy health insurance without anyone crying foul? A.X. Perez
Apparently the press and the World's political leaders are blind. Either that or they're going along with the gag. In case you weren't paying attention, it really doesn't matter who won the election in Iran. The Ayatollah Khameini is the head man what am in charge. the President is just a sop to the outside's faith in democracy. Khameini and the council of Ayatollahs are running the show and the president and Parliament are just window dressing. Sometimes you have to wonder if it's a good or bad thing that America's bosses aren't so straightforward. A.X. Perez
