It must have been back in the Eighties that I first heard a friend claim that mass shootings were "false flag" or "Manchurian Candidate" operations, that is, Them got some dupe to commit a horrific mass murder using guns to either get some anti-gun law passed or block the passage of a pro-gun law. At first I thought they were just being paranoid (disclosure, I'd thought the same thing before I ever heard it verbalized, but I thought I was just being paranoid. And I'm sure many of you can say the same.)

Given the number of mass murders that are statistically likely to happen, the odds are that a "convenient" atrocity will happen in a place where there are no armed civilians to stop it. So our enemies just play the odds and cash in when a maniac strikes. Sooner or later a maniac will attack children in a "gun free" zone. Just suppress the reports when armed civilians stop the attack, emphasize the cute, courageous, but ultimately futile resistance of the victims when none are there equipped to fight back. Emphasize how we are helpless to fight back by running demonstrations of "mass shooting" pitting professional firearms instructors as the killer against barely trained and inexperienced "victims." The growing determination by the American people to resist terrorist attack and mass murderers' rampages was systematically assaulted and a sense that "resistance is futile" is fostered by the media.and simply by playing the odds the enemies of freedom could get their opportunity.

The bad guys just waited for the statistical breaks to spread their lies.

On 9 April 2013 the Texas State Legislature's Judicial Committee was supposed to hear testimony and debate on HB1862 ending the State's ban on carrying switchblades. It is one of two bills up for consideration that will bring Texas' law regarding knives in line with the right to keep and bear arms enshrined in the American and Texan bill of rights. A guy went nuts with an Xacto knife and carved up 14 students at a community college in the state.

Okay, what are the odds that someone would go berserk with a knife instead of a gun in Texas ( As in "This is Texas, every body has a gun.") on the very day a law aimed at supporting knife rights was being debated?
