A 20TH Century History of Infringement
by L. Neil Smith
Last week, I was chatting contentedly with my friends on Facebook
(who would ever have thought I’d say that?) about gun politics, when I
was interrupted by (ostensibly) a young woman (everybody’s young
compared to me these days) who denied that anyone in politics was out
to take my guns away and asserted, in essence that I am some kind of
paranoid crank. I resent that. I do not deny it, but I resent it. But I have my reasons.

Why I’m Screwed
by J. Neil Schulman
I recently posted on Facebook, then as a web
page, a request for voluntary compensation (“donation” implies I’ve
done nothing to merit it) for the content I’ve given away free for
many years. My request for financial support during a life crisis when I can’t
pay my bills hasn’t brought in a dime. I conclude I’m unpopular. I conclude
I’ve been rejected. It’s logical and not all that surprising.

The Facts of Life, for Anarchists
by Nic Leobold
People are flawed. That’s the Fact of Life. Because people
are flawed, it leads to all sorts of other evils that are magnified, multiplied and compounded on top of each other.

Trump Will Be Killed
by Paul Bonneau
In “A Game of Nuclear Chicken” and “Anarchy—A Religion?”
I explored the question of which candidate for President is more likely to kick off a nuclear war.
I have to note that outside this specific issue, I have no hope for
Trump turning things around. The Deep State is too entrenched; even Ron Paul couldn’t fix this
country. It’s not 1921 all over again. I don’t have any delusions or hopes for
Trump outside this issue—even if he wanted to challenge the Deep State, which is highly doubtful.

The Greatness of Margaret Thatcher:
An Alternative View
by Sean Gabb
When she died in April 2013, the mainstream assumption was that
Margaret Thatcher had been something like the kind of person Donald Trump is hoped to
be. She had humbled the left. She had brought about fundamental reforms in economic
policy. She had made her country strong again and respected in the outer world. This being the
assumption, conservatives went into ostentatious mourning, and the leftists rejoiced.

Defensive Voting
by Bill St. Clair
In TLE 887, Paul Bonneau wrote an article entitled
“Anarchy—A Religion?”. He mentioned something that Neil has written
about, defensive voting. I have never considered defensive voting, until this year.

All Mohammed’s Children Love a Gun-Free Zone
by Vin Suprynowicz
Quick: Among all America’s 20,000 overlapping “gun
control” laws, which had an impact on the number of deaths when Islamic terrorist
Omar Mir Seddique Mateen—the wife-beating, ISIS-supporting, bi-sexual son of
politically active Afghan immigrants—went on a rampage with a couple of
semi-automatic weapons in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, June 12? The
“background checks” required by the 1993 “Brady Bill”? Those
didn’t stop Mateen, a security guard, from buying the two semi-automatic,
one-shot-per-trigger-pull firearms he used to murder 49 innocent Americans and wound 50 more.

If you haven't read/voted go read What Shall I Write Next? by L. Neil Smith.
I asked my wife this evening if she knew what was so great about getting old. She looked at me and didn’t say anything. I said “So you don’t know either, eh?”
After laughing a bit, she said “Grandchildren!” And so it is!
