Brady, Trump, and Ft. Lauderdale

Various news-floozies and gentlemen-of-the-evening, denizens of the round-heeled mass media, specimens with the raw intelligence and attention-span of paramecia, appear to have already forgotten the January 6th mass-shooting in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Florida in which an eerie little goblin with an Hispanic name and Middle Eastern aspirations shot up an airport baggage area, wounding thirteen innocent individuals and killing five. According to a January 7 Breitbart.com story by AWR Hawkins, President-elect Donald J. Trump Tweeted that his “thoughts and prayers” were with the victims in the airport. It was the decent thing to do. One day later, Hawkins informs us, the thoroughly indecent liberalish-progressive vermin at the “Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence” responded to Mr. Trump by Tweeting that they did not need the President-Elect’s thoughts and prayers. Rather, they needed gun control, a concept we know better as “victim disarmament”.

A Message to Republicans

This message applies to both Establishment Republicans and Donald Trump himself. I will start with the Establishment Republicans who opposed Trump. I realize that there are many of you, especially those who were part of the Never Trump movement who aren’t happy about Trump getting elected. I will be honest when I tell you that Trump was far from being my first choice. However, as I recently wrote in my message to the leftists who are continuing to throw hissy fits, Donald Trump is our president for better or worse. Get used to it. Hell, with all the lackluster candidates that you have given us for the past eight years, you are partially responsible for this man’s popularity in the first place. So, stop sulking.

On Living in a Moral Sewer

Just over two months ago, I was interviewed by The Daily Mail. Let me give the facts of the story that I was told. Kelly Jarvis was a police officer in the North of England. In 2013, she took a personal dislike to Fiona Miller, a member of the public. At first, she contented herself with sending poison pen messages by text and via social media. Then, using the access she had to the relevant databases, she fabricated a set of entries to make it appear that Mrs Miller was sleeping with an underage boy and abusing her own son. In 2015, the social workers came knocking. Early in 2016, the police turned up at Mrs Miller’s home so see whether her son was in immediate danger.

You Go First: The Peace Amendment

The idea is probably as old as the Pharaohs, maybe even as old as Homo Erectus. Whenever and wherever old men have sent young men off to die, sooner or later someone has suggested that the old men should go first. There are two reasons for this, I think. The first is that, unless you’re running an empire of some kind—which we Americans are not supposed to be doing—and you’re fulfilling a Manifest Destiny you imagine that you have, to reach out and steal everybody else’s life, liberty, and property, finding yourself involved in a war represents a serious failure on the part of a nation’s political leaders. In fact they’ve screwed up bigtime, and there ought to be a price to pay for that.
