Re: “Stan Lee: A Tribute” by Sean Gangol
Last week I published a tribute to Stan Lee, where I made a small error. When I made reference to Lee’s Spiderman, I wrote that young Peter Parker had tragically lost his grandfather to an armed thief that he refused to stop earlier in the story. It was actually his uncle that was killed and not his grandfather. I know that this is a minor error, but I always try to get it right, especially when I am doing a tribute to somebody. Plus, I should have known, since it resulted in Parker’s Aunt May being widowed. I suppose that it was because of the age of Parker’s aunt and uncle that I confused them with his grandparents. Though these days Aunt May seems to get younger and younger with each movie adaptation. Anyway, this was pointed out to me by another comic book fan, so thought I would try my best to correct the error.

WATCH: Ocazio-Cortez Urges Progressives to Continue to Infiltrate the Democratic Party
When I discovered this article earlier in the week I could not help but recall the scene from the 1990s Lost in Space remake where Will Robinson asks his sister Penny “Is there a name for what’s wrong with you?”
This article from the Babylon Bee could explain it:
Accordingly Miss Ocazio-Cortez grew up in the hard knock life of the
streets of Mos Eisley Spaceport best known for its seedy bar scene in the
Star Wars franchise that I’ve come to associate with Washington DC which so
fits the description of Obi Wan as the wretched hive of scum and villainy.
[Read it]
The irony is that Ocazio-Cortez didn’t grow up in that Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy but she’s certainly made a good career move in going to work there. Of course we might want to start calling Washington DC the Wretched Hive of Scum and Stupidity as that deer in the headlights look of Ocazio-Cortez is a good match up for brain dead republicans like “I’m a severe conservative” Mitt Romney.
Sad to think of such a waste of a generation’s human potential. Although they will do us a big favor if they can succeed in sinking the Democratic Party that has more or less become a ship of fools that poses a serious navigational hazard and would be better off sent to Davy Jones’ Locker.
