An Excerpt from Rosalie’s World
Volume IV of the Ngu Family Saga
by L. Neil Smith
I present you, herewith, Dear Reader, a sneak peek at my
current project, Rosalie’s World a fourth volume of the “Ngu Family
Saga”. Rosalie’s World is the story of humanity’s first
settlement on an extra-solar planet, wherein you will discover, among
others, Wilson and Llyra Ngu, brother and sister, the main characters of my
novel Ceres,

Life is Pain, Highness
by Sarah A. Hoyt
When I was little and my dad had to put alcohol or
iodine on my scrapes and cuts (and let me tell you, I had the biggest—if not
the best—scrapes and cuts. I think I was 12 before I kept intact skin on my
knees for more than a week or so) he’d say “Of course it’s hurting. If it
hurts it’s healing.” This is of course nonsense. If you put your hand in a
brazier it will hurt like hell, but it’s not healing anything. In fact, it’s
destroying your hand and all its structures. And quite opposite what the
mechanism of pain is supposed to do. Or to put it succinctly: pain is there
to stop you doing things that destroy parts of you.

How to Save Facebook, Google, Free Speech and Maybe The World
by L. Reichard White
The New Zealand Government banned live-stream video of
the March 2019 Christchurch Mosque attack and threatened to punish anyone
who re-posted it. Ten years in prison and a hefty fine is what the NZ law
against “ objectionable content” allows. Is that good or bad?
Facebook was held responsible for failing to quash the real-time live-stream
in the first place—not to mention the thousands of reposts. So Mr.
Zuckerberg squealed for help. In particular, he requested government
regulation

How Could Anyone be a Socialist/Communist in This Day and Age?
by Sean Gangol
It never ceases to amaze me how anyone can support a
system that has failed time and time again. This is something that Einstein
would have called insanity, though I am not sure what to call it. I would
call it stupidity, but there are seemingly intelligent people who proudly
call themselves socialists or even communists. The sad part is that you
wouldn’t just find these people on the fringe, like you would the KKK and
their Neo-Nazi buddies. You have mainstream Democrats such as Bernie Sanders
and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who call themselves Democratic Socialists, but
they pretty much stand for the same ideas that have consistently failed us.
Not that I consider either of these two intellectual heavyweights. Sanders
once said that the long lines that the Russian people had to wait in just to
get a loaf of bread was actually a sign of a healthy economy. Yet, the man
seems like a Rhodes Scholar next to Cortez. Every time this woman speaks,
you can clearly see that her mind is as empty as her promises of free
healthcare and free college. This woman can’t name the three branches of
government and compares anyone who challenges her to a debate a catcaller. I
am not even sure that Cortez is worthy of being called an intellectual
featherweight.

The Great Stone
by Jim Davidson
Over two thousand years ago, at the time of the
Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel was a prophet of God. He revealed to
the king the details of a dream of a great and terrible statue having a gold
head and silver arms and brass belly and iron legs and feet of iron mixed
with clay. Daniel was the only wise man in Babylon who could relate the
details of this dream because the dream and its interpretation were shown to
Daniel by God. And the interpretation is that Nebuchadnezzar was the ruler
of the mighty kingdom represented by the gold part of the dream statue, the
subsequent empire, presumably of the Persians and Medes, was the silver, and
so forth. Many identify the iron kingdom as the Roman empire, especially
since it was divided into eastern (Byzantine) and Western legs - there’s
even a boot shape to Italy. Various interpretations have been given for the
kingdom represented by the parts composed of clay and iron, perhaps the
alliances of many smaller states found in places like Europe and the various
United States.

Balderas and Lujan-Grisham, Not Sheriffs, the True Lawbreakers
by Mike Blessing
Recently, Attorney General Hector Balderas sent a letter
to 26 county sheriffs stating that, "As law enforcement officials . . . we
do not have the freedom to pick and choose which state laws we enforce," in
reference to the "universal background checks" mandated by the newly-passed
Senate Bill 8.

Four Dreams of a Better World than New Labour Has in Mind for Us
by Sean Gabb
I did think of writing an issue of Free Life
Commentaryabout the coming electoral collapse of the Conservative Party,
and about how this is all the fault of William Hague. But the latest opinion
polls are so grim—a predicted Labour majority of more than 200—that I cannot
bring myself to comment on the matter. So I will ignore politics for the
moment and turn to the more cheerful subject of my favourite nightmares.

What traitor, with nothing but manufactured “evidence” she’d paid for, called the President of the United States a Russian agent?
by Vin Suprynowicz
Now that the most ruthless, despicable,
roust-them-out-of-bed-in-the-middle-of-the-night,
threaten-to-indict-their-wives-and-kids prosecutors that the scum at the DOJ
and FBI could come up with have thrown up their hands and admitted it was
all a scam, let’s not forget who launched the “Trump is a Russian agent”
hoax.
