Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

Happy Dragon-day!* I hope all of you are taking appropriate precautions to protect yourselves, your homes, and your families. You wouldn’t expect it where I live, but apparently Fort Collins’ three or four scraggly Anti-Fa retards attempted to start a riot at a local 7-11 this afternoon. I wish I knew more, but the local newspaper is hopeless crap. I lined my parrot’s cage with it and my parrot died.

Nevertheless, I have long been prepared for calamity. I own a modest number of what leftists love to call “assault rifles”, in three different calibers, but since my 2014 stroke, two-handed weapons are a little difficult for me. All is not lost, however. Since I’m a lifelong laptop guy, I have no use for the roll-out keyboard shelf in my desk, except for the “one-handed assault rifle” that lives there. It’s absolutely wonderful, a massively formidable Glock Model 40, a long-slide 17-shot (with extended magazine) 10 mm automatic. The cartridge itself, in case you don’t know, is twice as powerful as the fabled and venerable .45 ACP—and compares favorably with 5.56x45mm NATO (.223) and .30 M1 Carbine. Slung underneath the weapon is a laser/flashlight combination that my cats are absolutely crazy about.

Okay,I just bought a single action revolver—the American katana—a Ruger Vaquero in .45 Colt that makes me smile every time I see it. But I know what’s really needed in times of civil unrest: firepower.

Please understand me when I say that words can never convey how much I do not want to shoot anybody—ever—if only because of the paperwork and lawyers’ fees involved. But, as the vile and despicable George Soros’ paid minions do their damnedest to tear our Republic apart, I an ready if trouble comes to my door. The question is, is it ready for me?
