“Gun control is the idea that it’s better to see a woman dead in an alley, strangled
with her own pantyhose, than to see her with a gun in her hand.”—T.D. Melrose

Desperate Times
by L. Neil Smith
Happy Dragon-day! I hope all of you are taking appropriate precautions to protect yourselves, your homes, and your families. You wouldn’t expect it where I live, but apparently Fort Collins’ three or four scraggly Anti-Fa retards attempted to start a riot at a local 7-11 this afternoon. I wish I knew more, but the local newspaper is hopeless crap. I lined my parrot’s cage with it and my parrot died.

I can See Clearly Now
by Sarah A. Hoyt
So who has markers on UFO landing for 2020? Rain of frogs? Plague of Locusts? Oh, wait, I’m confused, aren’t I? Even though I’ve picked up a friend’s resounding refrain of “Let my people go!” the script 2020 is running is “Let’s keep the people captive, and we’ll inflict what we have to on them, up to and including complete and utter destruction, as long as we can keep our spurs on them and our seat on their backs.”

Federal Reserve: Con Artist Extraordinary
by Jim Carter
The writing inspired by a professor who informed a graduate class several decades ago that the FRBNY credits a government account with book-entry value only after receiving a deficit Treasury security from the Treasury Department, traces the journey of that security. TreasuryDirect [TD] institutional tabulations of auctions of securities for roll-over of maturing securities include a commingled ~10% “new cash” component. There goes the deficit spending Treasury security. Since 31 CFR 375.3 establish FRBNY has exclusive responsibility for disbursement of the auction funds and any related function they wish to claim, TD must obviously obtain the values from the bank. The GAO has twice reviewed the FRBNY’s security of bid and fund handling. Despite CRS misleading innuendo, those accounts have never been audited.

Some Definitions
by T.J. Mason
Marxism is the incoherent and inconsistent theoretical political/anti-religious/economic system spelled out by Karl Marx in The Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital. Adherents claim it’s never been done right, but that’s because it’s self-contradictory and impossible of accomplishment.

Burning the Precincts
by Jim Davidson
The American people have been patient for decades while the police murder more and more of us. Last year, the police murdered over a thousand Americans. Police unions are against any form of oversight, any meaningful review of police conduct, and will not tolerate dissent within their ranks. All police are volunteers, none are conscripted. They chose this work, and they chose to cooperate with those police who commit crimes in the name of their fraternal solidarity.

Liberty Must Survive in Good Times and Bad Times
by Sean Gangol
The last two months of this lockdown has reminded me of certain realities about liberty in the time of crisis. Now that the infections are starting to level off, President Trump and certain governors are gradually trying to get American businesses running again. Unfortunately, there are governors and local leaders who want this lockdown to continue and are doing everything in their ability to keep the lockdown going indefinitely. These governors say that their refusal to open their states stems from safety concerns from the Coronavirus, though I think it is more due to their lust for power. They are trying everything in their ability to sabotage the recovery efforts set forth by the president, hoping that it will squash any hope of him being reelected this November. On top of that these local officials have shown that they have no quims about crushing individual liberty to keep this power play going.

The Norseman’s Diaries 2020 - A Belated B’Errf Day Special: Survival With Style
by Jeff Fullerton
As I gear up in the wake of a hard freeze that was not as hard as predicted I came up with a title for the 2020 B’Errf Day Special featuring the ideas of the dearly departed Jerry Pournelle pitted against the Green New Deal.
