Why The Left-Wing Seems Insane
(Mostly Because They Are)
by L. Neil Smith
Every single dumb-ass theory, every single crackpot notion
ever conceived and cherished by the men, women, and whatever we call
liberals—the socialsts who refer to themselves as “Progressives” and are
actually Junior Communists—and every single political program ever derived
from them over more than a century, has proven beyond the palest possible
shadow of a doubt to be wrong-headed, futile, and ultimately destructive to
individuals and to civilization.

Happy Fourth
by Sarah A. Hoyt
It is an odd fourth of July. Colorado has banned
fireworks, not an unusual event, except for the fact this Spring, while
not the wettest we’ve had, has been wet enough that I mowed some mushrooms
in my lawn yesterday.

Introduction to Hans-Hermann Hoppe’s “Getting Libertarianism Right” (2018)
by Sean Gabb
The writings collected in this book are mostly addresses
given in Bodrum to the Property and Freedom Society, of which Professor
Hoppe is both Founder and President. I was fortunate to hear them read out
to the gathering, and I am deeply honoured to have been asked to provide
an Introduction to the published versions.

To The Owners and Operators
of Orange County, California
by L. Neil Smith
It is my recent understanding that the tiny-minded,
mealy-mouthed Junior Communists of Orange County, California are planning to
rip the distinguished name of John Wayne from the international airport
there because the man doesn’t have a statue you barbarians and vandals can
tear down, deface and throw in the river. The charge against a dead man who
can’t defend himself, as usual, is “racism”.

I Fear for the Country
by Jeff Fullerton
Kind of hard to celebrate between an ongoing crisis that
seems like it will never end and the unceasing drumbeat that I’m going to
be branded a racist and maybe even fired from my job if I refuse to
apologize for slavery and white privilege or dare oppose the Green New Deal.

A(nother) Modest Proposal
by L. Neil Smith
I am writing to the City Council where I live, and to the
Mayor, whom I happen to know slightly, with a series of unique suggestions.
The first is that the city’s police budget be increased by sixteen
percent—the same percentage by which New York’s police budget is being
irrationally slashed. I don’t know exactly how much that is, but I would be
willing to endure a slight raise in sales taxes to make it happen. (I don’t
know how to increase the budget of the Sheriff’s Department but I’d give
them thirty-two percent.)
