Attribute to L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise

One week later things are looking better.

Found my leak last Sunday and managed to make repairs the following day. As suspected it was a cracked coupling where Uncle Budd and I made a splice to replace a section of the line that sprang a leak back in the 70s. I was a teenager then—it was that long ago! I was able to replace it with a slightly longer section of pipe I had on hand and had spare couplings so there was no need to run out and buy anything-thank goodness.

The spring vault has since refilled and I’m going to rebury the line as soon as I work through the issue of low pressure in the greenhouse and some of my faucets in the house. This may be from air in the line which means I’ll probably have to bleed the system to correct that. Been there before.

It’s a Saturday night and I’m out shopping on my way from work. Hoping to have an actual edition of the Diaries out soon. Between work and home improvements and projects it’s always a time crunch but I know I’ll manage.

And I’ll include a more detailed account of the repair. It was at times somewhat dramatic.
