To avoid society’s most flagrant conflict
of interest, no lawyer can be allowed
to run for or hold legislative office.

Guess who the Constitution says counts the votes. Give up? Read this:
Who Counts the Votes of the Presidential Electors?
This may be the most important question in American history.
by Alexander Macris
"Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the
votes decide everything."
The quote is ascribed to Joseph Stalin, although there’s little
evidence that he actually said it. Nevertheless, it resonates as
true. Certainly America stands in crisis now because of disagreements
about the count of the popular vote.
But the President of the United States isn’t actually elected by the
popular vote. He’s elected by the college of presidential electors.
As I noted in a previous article, one of the most important questions
in this crisis is whether the state legislatures can appoint
presidential electors to cast their votes in opposition to the
popular vote.
But there is another question: Who counts the votes cast by the
presidential electors? If “those who count the votes decide
everything,” as Stalin said, then this is the most important question
in American history.

Finally, we have a supplement that actually
boosts memory
by Knowridge
Walk down the supplement aisle in your local drugstore and you’ll
find fish oil, ginkgo, vitamin E, and ginseng, all touted as memory
boosters that can help you avoid cognitive decline.
You’ll also find melatonin, which is sold primarily in the United
States as a sleep supplement.
It now looks like melatonin marketers might have to do a rethink.
in a new study, researchers found that melatonin and two of its
metabolites help memories stick around in the brain and can shield
mice, and potentially people, from cognitive decline.

Well, I’ve been taking melatonin for years, now. Guess I’d be even stupider if I hadn’t!
Former Israeli space security chief says
aliens exist, humanity not ready
This "Galactic Federation" has supposedly been in contact
with Israel and the US for years, but are keeping themselves a secret
to prevent hysteria until humanity is ready.
by Aaron Reich
Has the State of Israel made contact with aliens?
According to retired Israeli officer and current professor Haim
Eshed, the answer is yes, but this has been kept a secret because
"humanity isn’t ready."
Speaking in an interview to Yediot Aharonot, Eshed – who
served as the head of Israel’s space program for nearly 30 years and
is a three-time recipient of the Israel Security Award – explained
that Israel and the US have both been dealing with aliens for years.
And this by no means refers to immigrants, with Eshed clarifying the
existence of a "Galactic Federation."
The 87-year-old former head of the Defense Ministry’s Space Division
gave further descriptions about exactly what sort of agreements have
been made between the aliens and the US, which ostensibly have been
made because they wish to research and understand "the fabric of the
universe." This cooperation includes a secret underground base on
Mars, where there are American and alien representatives.

Well, all I’ve got to say is “define ‘ready’”.
