In Simple Words

Let me put this in simple words, Communism, also known as scientific socialism, is evil. It is as bad as Nazism, they are in fact names for a belief that we exist to be slaves of an all powerful state ruled by a dictator or ruling council, who will issue us enough of life's necessities to make sure we can get a little more work done tomorrow to achieve the leaders' goals. This is not a failure or communism done wrong, it is the way it is supposed to work.
Communism is not equivalent to capitalism, it is based on the idea that a few men with guns and a network of snitches deserve to rule the rest of us and own everything through the state. People telling you otherwise are dupes or liars.
Leaders who promote Communism and its watered-down bastard child socialism do so because they know they can run your life better than you can, they are Jamie Spears to your Britney. People who support Communism think they are going to be bosses or somehow privileged under it. They are wrong, they will either be executed as potential counter-revolutionaries or enjoy the privilege of working themselves to death in labor camps side by side with the rest of us.

On 1 September, in about 5 and 1/2 weeks, Constitutional carry will go in effect in Texas. Unless you need it for a credential for work or something there is almost no point in getting a license to carry a handgun in Texas.
That said, if you intend to carry, I strongly recommend you take a serious gun safety course, both in safe handling and in how to act responsibly when heeled. It's not like you need the money to pay for fingerprints, faxing stuff, and your license application.
And remember, not needing a license to pack is not a license to be stupid.
