Who Do You Trust—and Why?
by L. Neil Smith
A BLAST FROM THE PAST Bill Clinton is a
lying sack of you-know-what. It’s obvious that Bob Dole hasn’t uttered a
single word he really meant (or understood, most likely) for decades. And
if Harry Browne believes everything he says, he’s crazy as a bedbug.

This is the Alarm Bell
by Sarah A. Hoyt
I have to explain first that I have no idea where my
sudden insights come from, or my sudden certainties. Most of the time—as with
“covid-19 isn’t nearly as dangerous as we’re being sold”—I have to do a deep
dive to figure out if they’re even justified.

The Importance of Principle—
Why it’s Necessary to Retain the Moral High Ground
by Cathy L.Z. Smith
Here’s a snippet of an argument that’s currently raging
on a decidedly non-libertarian forum where intellectual property rights is
a very hot topic…

Conversion Therapy:
Defending Basic Rights
by Sean Gabb
So far as I understand it, conversion therapy is the
attempt, by prayer, by nagging, and by playing with mental associations, to
change sexual tastes. It is mostly tried by male Christians who are disturbed
by their inclinations. For what it may be worth, my opinion is that, unless
they involve non-consensual violence, sexual tastes are trivial things, and
no one with an atom of sense would ever wish to change them. I also suspect
that attempts at change are generally inadvisable. But, if
inadvisable—indeed, even if positively dangerous—there is no reason for the
law to be involved in the matter. So long as there is neither force nor
fraud, what adults do to themselves, or procure for themselves, or offer to
other consenting adults, should be their business alone.

Up Your Preps
by Jim Davidson
“If you seek peace, prepare for war,” said Publius way
back when. Little good it may have done him and his fellow Romans, though.
The time of his book, “De Re Militari” was roughly the time of the collapse
of the Western Roman Empire. So, you may ask, what does “de re militari” mean
in Latin? Roughly, “of matters military.” “War?!” some casual visitor not
used to this publication might exclaim. “We are not at war! What on Earth is
this strange conspiracy theorist jabbering about?”

The Great Reset, Reviewed
by T.J. Mason
Glenn Beck is best known as a controversial television
and radio commentator and host who proclaims libertarian political
leanings, has a strong commitment to the Founders and Framers in his
commentary, and frequently warns of a conspiracy of globalist and
progressive elites who are working to assume power over the American
people—for that matter, over people everywhere. For the latter reason,
he frequently is labeled as a conspiracy theorist and is dismissed, but he
has a large following of listeners and people who subscribe to his online
platform (the Blaze network) and purchase his book.
