Suppose You Were Fond of Books
by L. Neil Smith
*BLAST FROM THE PAST* >Suppose you were fond of books …
You liked their leather bindings, their fancy endpapers, the way
they speak to you of other times and places, the way they feel in

Invasion
by Sarah A. Hoyt
I am not unaware of
the invasion taking place on our Southern Border, nor am I unaware of the
ramping up to happen. I’ve been silent on it only because—beyond the fact
there is bloody nothing I can do beyond preparing and telling you to
prepare—it is a complex and difficult subject. Not in my reaction to
it—obviously I disapprove—but in what is happening, what it will cause,
and what can even be done at this point, even if we could stop it today.
And obviously we can’t stop it till at the earliest January.

prohibitions on free speech, freedom of religion, freedom to assemble, carry,
no torture, no bureaucracies, no licences, millions of good people. Would you
live there?

The Norseman’s Diaries: The Great Reset & Pursuit of the Perfect Day—Postscript
by Jeff Fullerton
Been busy this week. Wednesday was the best day. Almost
that perfect one I’m always seeking. We may be shifting to a drier pattern
because the washout that was supposed to be today wasn’t and it got warm and
sunny late afternoon. At least 70 if not more. That started while I was
scrubbing the corner well pieces.
