Samuel L. Jackass
(The Feature Article)
When liberals start dressing like ISIS because they don’t like
Donald Trump, you know you voted for the right person.
(source: James Woods and/or Collin Rugg)
L. Neil Smith, author, Publisher and Senior Columnist of L. Neil Smith’s The Libertarian Enterprise takes this occasion to award the dreaded first annual Alferd E. Packer Award For Moral Cannibalism to George Soros.
Soros began his sordid career as a messenger boy delivering eviction notices to Jewish families for the Nazis in his native Hungary. Most recently, organizations of his financed the so-called “Anti-fa” disturbances across the country, and it appears that Soros is behind most of what is currently going wrong with America. Apparently he disapproves of the choice American voters made last November 8th, and is determined to use his great wealth to override it.
The Alferd E. Packer Award For Moral Cannibalism is still being prepared. It will consist of a graphic representation of a pair of human ankle bones set in a foot of clay. Packer is famous for being accused of eating human flesh during a 19th century hunting expedition in the Colorado mountains. It is said (probably apocryphally) that the judge he was brought before told him, “Alferd Packer, you done et every Democrat in Hinsdale County!”
George Soros, however, has committed no such act of public service.
The Editor’s Notes

Dab dangit, I keep trying to avoid the News but it keeps
intruding into my space anyway. For example: The “Battle of Berkeley” Is a Bad Sign for

Samuel L. Jackass
by L. Neil Smith
It has pained me to come to the unavoidable realization that Samuel
L. Jackson, the star of many a fine and fascinating film, is a fool
and a liar. I thought for many years that he was something special,
that he had some spark of wisdom. but it turns out that he’s
just another Hollywood actor. Ben Affleck with a better voice.

Remember 1997’s movie Con Air, about a prisoner-transport

Happy Errf Day!
by Jeff Fullerton
Day one of first vacation week of the year is here at long
last. And what could amount to my first birthday present was in the form
of a package found on my porch when I got home late last night. The
order from Laporte Avenue Nursery which so happens to be an assortment
of Irises, dwarf chrysanthemums, columbine and other alpine plants
ordered from a rock garden specialist in Fort Collins Colorado. That's
El Neil’s home town I do believe—and also the setting in
which his character Winn Bear started a new life in the alternate
world of the Probability Broach where the city bears the name
of LaPorte instead.

Yes, Bill Maher, There Is A Planet B
by J. Neil Schulman
Today, Earth Day 2017, thousands of people without a clue about what the
scientific method is are “Marching for Science!” with picket signs reading,
“THERE IS NO PLANET B.” It’s a clever pun on “Plan B”—a back-up plan.

Democratic Art: The Non-Poetry of Carol Ann Duffy
by Sean Gabb
Last week, (2009) I sent out a brief note, lamenting the seventieth
anniversary of our declaration of war on Germany. Most of the replies
were positive, and I suspect that the burden of proof is now shifting
to those who still believe in the absolute rightness of the second
world war. However, this is not a matter I wish here to discuss. One
of my correspondents sent me a link to what he described as a poem by
Carol Ann Duffy, who is the new Poet Laureate. He suggested that I might find it agreeable.

TOP KEK: The Best of the Internet, 16-22 April 2017
by Giovanni Martelli
Hello again, friends, and welcome to Top Kek, your (sort of)
weekly serving of the best and dumbest of the internet. The last
couple of weeks have been decidedly unfunny, with tensions building in
the Korean peninsula and an unnecessary wedge driven between the US
and Russia by the deep state. So this week, we’ll do what we do
best: have a lightweight laugh at the “ground troops” of
the culture war, namely the Berkeley Antifa cultists.
