The Boomless Bombs
(The Feature Article)
Really Good Story!
Author's Note
I have no official publication dates as yet, but my publisher Phoenix Pick (a division of Arc Manor), Shahid Mahmud, Prop., is pretty damn fast. You just have time to catch up. Those who want to read Only the Young Die Good, another J. Gifford and Surica Fieraru (and their cat, Fiddlestring) adventure, should read Sweeter Than Wine first. Those who want to read Ares, the middle volume of what I'm currently calling the "Ngu Family Trilogy" should read Pallas.
Meanwhile, I'm off to a good start on what I think will be my 38th book, The Frozen Stars in which Win Bear finally returns and I've created my funniest villains so far. Here's hoping it won't take me sixteen years like Ares did.

The Boomless Bombs
by L. Neil Smith
How stupid do you have to be?
Eight or nine suspicious packages are “delivered” to the
addresses of various prominent Democrat opinion leaders and “strategists”.
(I’ll bet that Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell are furious as hell that
they didn’t get one, when Maxine Waters got three.) The round-heeled mass
media, including the Murdoch-owned and-controlled Fox “News” Network
immediately mischaracterize them as “bombs”. But they are not bombs. I
repeat, they are not bombs. They have no ignition devices. They can’t go
off. It’s like accusing a eunuch of rape.

Caravan, Horde or Convoy?
by J. Neil Schulman
As a libertarian, as an anarchist, as an Agorist I am
for free movement and the right to work of foreigners crossing national
borders. This is not a recent position of mine. It’s represented in an article
I wrote in the early 1970’s called “The Aliens Are Among Us” published in
Murray Rothbard’s magazine The Libertarian Forum, and it’s represented
in the G. Gerald Rhoames Border Guard and Ketchup Company in my 1979 novel,
Alongside Night.

Flying by Instruments
by Sarah A. Hoyt
Nobody knows anything!
Honestly, this should be the motto for our times.
And it is a shame and a rebuke in the face of journalists.
I’ll be honest, they were never very good at reporting
anything. Particularly in the first heat of the reporting. Any incident I
was actually present at, let alone any incident I knew anything about was
reported so wrongly all my life, that it might as well be another universe.

On Gab there is a feature called “groups” which are
simply interest groups run by any member of Gab (possibly limited to Pro
members) who creates the group. There is one group called “Hot Women”.

Liberating Feminism
by J. Neil Schulman
A person close to me who’s known me for decades recently
criticized me for being critical of the slogan “We Believe Survivors!” and
for backing off on my intitial support for Christine Blasey Ford’s
believability. I was charged with attacking the women’s movement in general.
I agree with my critic that by unintended consequence my opposition could have
been taken that way. I do, however, stress the word “unintended.”

New Fun With The Left
by Rob Gillespie
This is my first contribution to TLE. I haven’t really
felt I had anything original or as well expressed as what I have read here
every week, but given all last week’s articles, as well as Sarah Hoyt’s of
the week before, I couldn’t resist. The fact that it just happened makes it
seem all very timely.

Coming Events
by Jim Davidson
There are various reasons I believe the following things
are going to happen. I cannot say that I “know” these things are certain,
but I believe they will happen. I'm sorry if that sounds confused to you,
but that's the nature of this sort of thing.

The Looney Left
by I often think back to the years before I had even heard
anyone utter the word, libertarian. I wasn’t sure whether to call myself a
conservative, an independent or maybe a liberal that liked guns. I felt that
I couldn’t call myself a conservative because I thought I had to accept all
the socially conservative ideas that were spouted by those on the Right.
What I didn’t realize at the time was that not all conservatives thought
alike and that the right was pretty diverse when it came to ideas. So, if I
hadn’t discovered libertarianism, I could imagine myself as a Constitutional
Conservative along the lines of Barry Goldwater, Ted Cruz or one that leans
heavily in the direction of libertarianism such as Ron Paul. The Left
however, is the side of the equation that I can’t ever picture myself on.
