Can You Hear Me Now?
by L. Neil Smith
I was exhausted, by the end of Election Night, and pretty much the
same way the next day. The prospect of enduring four or even eight
years of President Hillary Clinton, possibly followed by President
Chelsea Clinton, for the rest of my life, had filled me with an
intense and enervating dread. As the night wore on, and Donald Trump
secured the victory, I felt better—I had carefully listened to
what he actually said and did, instead of what the round-heeled media
claimed he said and did—but two days later, I’m still
having trouble sleeping.

Constitutional Rights
by Donald Trump
Donald Trump understands the solemn duty that comes from the Oath
of Office—swearing to “preserve, protect and defend the
Constitution of the United States.” He embraces the fact that the
reason the Founders of this nation decided to adopt a written
Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land for the first time in
world history was to create a democratic form of government in which
ordinary people would know the powers of government and the rights of
the people. That is why the Constitution's 4,400 words were written in
a way that ordinary Americans would read and understand them, and use
a standard to hold public officials accountable.

Raw Numbers, Real People
by Jim Davidson
So, here is a very significant raw number: 198,600,142 people either did
not choose to vote, including about 47% of registered voters, or were not registered, or not
eligible to register to vote. As a result of this one basic fact of non-participation, only
18.44% of the American people voted for Donald Trump. About 18.55% of Americans voted for
$hillary. Fully 61.11% of the American people did not vote.

From the Rust Belt to the Asteroid Belt: Revenge of the Rust Belt
by Jeff Fullerton
I came. I saw. I voted. For Mr Trump and a mix of Republican and
Libertarian candidates on the state and local ballots. Did not vote strait ticket because
we really do need a viable third party to arise and take the place of the GOP. It was nice
to see the LP on the ballot. Just too bad Gary Johnson in addition to being soft on
principle had to pick a horrible choice for a running mate. William Weld would have been
the perfect one for the Clinton ticket!

Moronic Idea of the Week
by L. Neil Smith
I had planned to work this morning. I am laboring over two novels,
Ares, a Ngu Family story about the settlement and terraformation of Mars, and
Only The Young Die Good, a sequel to my vampire tale, Sweeter Than Wine.
Both are painfully near to completion, and after the delays occasioned by my recent convention
trip to Denver and the 2016 General Election, I was really looking forward to getting on with what I do.

The Goebbels Big Lie Theory Wrong
Ken Holder’s Law of the Big Lie Boomerang:
With today’s peer-to-peer news & information, when we are told a Big Lie, after a bit we ignore it; but the people telling the Big Lie come to believe it! And much hilarity ensues.
Proof: the media.
Hilarity on our part, not the sad sad media.
Here is a spot-on article about the smugness of the smuggldy smug media:
The unbearable smugness of the press
by Will Rahn
The mood in the Washington press corps is bleak, and deservedly so.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that, with a few exceptions, we were all tacitly or explicitly #WithHer, which has led to a certain anguish in the face of Donald Trump’s victory. More than that and more importantly, we also missed the story, after having spent months mocking the people who had a better sense of what was going on.
This is all symptomatic of modern journalism’s great moral and intellectual failing: its unbearable smugness. Had Hillary Clinton won, there’d be a winking “we did it” feeling in the press, a sense that we were brave and called Trump a liar and saved the republic.

Laugh at the silly little “experts”, children. Make quacking noises at them! Behind their backs! To their faces! And let everybody know that the New York Times etc. are so full of shit their pages are brown. In case they had not noticed. And apparently the New York Times has said they will be impartial from now on! Not only an admission of guilt, it is amazing that they expect us to believe them! How stupid do they think we are? Oh, we already know that!
