“Gun control is the idea that it’s better to see a woman dead in an alley, strangled
with her own pantyhose, than to see her with a gun in her hand.”—T.D. Melrose

What Zagmuk Means to Me
by L. Neil Smith
I have been writing about Zagmuk for almost a decade, now. It is the mid-winter holiday, many thousands of years old, that celebrates the victory of the Babylonian god-king Marduk over the forces of Chaos, sort of the ultimate triumph of Reason. That’s him in the picture, with his pet dragon Mušḫuššu. (And no, I don’t know how to pronounce it.)

Rattling the Cage Doors
by Sarah A. Hoyt
Totalitarian regimes create people who find a way to get around them. In the Soviet Union there was the famous Soviet joke, the only one of which I remember is: The agricultural inspector came to the collective farm, and asked how the potato harvest had gone. The secretary of the cooperative assured him, “We produced so many potatoes, they’ll reach the knees of G-d.” To which the bureaucrat snapped, “There is no G-d.” And the secretary said, “The same with potatoes.”

Meal Interrupted
by Jim Davidson
Ben Stone had a quizzical look on his face as everyone in the dining hall returned to their various places to complete their interrupted meals. "Tyrone, do you feel that was just absurdly fast for Steve Green and his deputies to walk through the door moments after you hit Cell411?"

Interlude, With Authority
by Jim Davidson
It was a bad day. Susan Nolan looked out the front windshield at the line of cars trapped on the Interstate. Her sixteen-year-old daughter Amy, sitting in the driver seat was close to tears. Little Bob and Kathy in the back seats were somber and quiet.

How To Properly Fuck A Girl
by Nic Leobold
Women like it when you get a little rough. Ripping off her shirt and breaking a button or two will get you brownie points. Grasping her around the buttocks and grinding hard, or grasping the breasts and squeezing and creating friction, often results in enhanced arousal.

Rocking the Big Red Boat
by Harding McFadden
No matter how often they fail, the Socialists keep coming back, telling us that this time it’ll be different. This time we’ll get it right, if only the capitalists will not stop the train of progress. This time all of the hard learned lessons will be taken into account, and a new golden age will finally, at long last, be upon us. This time, this time…

The Separation of Sports and Politics
by Sean Gangol
With the recent controversy of the NBA bending over backwards to appease the Chinese government, I was reminded of the number one problem plaguing the world of sports. I have always felt that both sports and politics were subjects that were the opposites of each other. I have always thought that the subject of sports was more of an escape from everyday life, while politics was a stark reminder of it. Yet there are certain organizations that have tried to combine the two. It is amazing how ESPN had to lose millions of subscribers before they could figure out that their viewers didn’t want to hear their commentators go on anti-Trump rants.

Impeachment and Guns

The House of Representatives needs to impeach President Trump before Christmas, if they actually are going to do so, for the following reasons.

Whence The Deep State?
by Jim Carter
Various writers lament the headless fourth branch of U.S. government and the Deep State. It is submitted to be the same force that has been active in imposing oppressive tyrants and economic exploitation in nations around the world for decades as documented by William Blum, Michel Chossudovsky, Michael Hudson, and others. John Perkins has more definitively identified Wall Street as the nexus—behind cutouts. Wall Street bankers have been repeatedly connected with political disruptions in Greece, Argentina, Venezuela, and Syria among others. Douglas Valentine [CIA AS ORGANIZED CRIME] has written that CIA actions he has witnessed worldwide in similar situations, with details revealed from interviews with agents, are being seen in the United States. Carroll Quigley claimed to have been inside the group. David Rockefeller touted it as utopian.
